Polk State won its fourth straight game today, beating St. Petersburg College 4-2 in St. Pete.
After the Titans scored twice in the first inning, the Eagles shut them out the rest of the way.
Polk State scored a run in the second, two in the sixth, and one more in the ninth.
Starting pitcher Billy McKay (2-5) earned the win. In 5.2 innings he allowed two runs on seven hits, walking three and striking out six.
Tate Dearing picked up his first save, giving up no hits or runs and striking out six in 3.1 innings.
