For the second straight game, Polk State struggled to score runs against Broward College, losing 10-2 yesterday in Davie, Fla.

After the Seahawks plated a pair of runs in the first inning, the Eagles came back to tie the score with two runs in the top of the fourth.

Broward, however, shut out the Eagles for the rest of the game.

Miles Simington tripled, scored a run, and drove in a run.

Trent Sinkfield drove in Polk State's other run.

Cody Oerther singled and scored a run.

Evan Johnson took the loss in relief of starter Julio Blanco. Billy McKay and Chavez Fernander also pitched in relief.

The Eagles (1-3, No. 7 FCSAA, No. 12 NJCAA) hit the road Friday for a 2 p.m. game at Daytona State College.
