Eagles fall to Eastern Florida in 11 innings

Polk State lost 11-10 to Eastern Florida State College today in Winter Haven. 

Down 10-3 after six innings, the Eagles rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and four in the eight to tie the game. 

Neither team scored again until the Titans plated a solo run in the top of the 11th. 

Mitch Osborne drove in four runs, going 2-for-3 with two walks. 

Trent Sinkfield (4-for-5) scored three runs, drove in a run, and walked. 

Zach Scott singled twice, walked, and drove in a run. 

Danny Berg had two RBI and a run scored. 

Rhys Cratty singled, walked, scored a run, and drove in a run. 

Miles Simington had a single, a walk, and three runs. 

Sam Koruschak singled, walked, and stole second. 

Cody Oerther collected two hits and an RBI 

Spencer Pawliw (0-1) took the loss in relief of starter Alec Barger, who allowed four runs (three unearned) on four hits, walking one and striking out five in six innings. 

The Eagles (1-1, No. 7 FCSAA, No. 12 NJCAA) face Broward College tomorrow at noon at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
