Zach Biermann, Raudy Martinez, and Cole Warken each homered as Polk State collected 11 hits, defeating Indian River State College 12-4 today at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.

After Indian River scored a pair of runs in the top of the first inning, the Eagles answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame.

They never trailed again, adding a solo run in the second inning, two in the fifth, and five in the eighth to win their third straight game.

Biermann had three RBI, two runs, a single, and a walk.

Martinez drove in three runs, scored one, and singled.

Warken scored three runs, singled, walked, and drove in a run.

Skylar Frey went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs.

Isaiah Cullum had a single, a walk a run, and an RBI.

Zach Scott doubled and drove in a run.

Marquis Orozco tripled and scored 

Jonah Garrison had a walk, a run, and an RBI. 

Luis Ferrer (4-1) earned the win in relief. In one inning he allowed no hits or runs and struck out two.

Chad Tworek started on the mound. Justin Tworek, Justin Gil, Chavez Fernander, Pat Doudican, Shameko Smith, and Zach Schneider all pitched in relief. 

The Eagles (16-5, No. 2 FCSAA, No. 11 NJCAA) begin Suncoast Conference play Wednesday at 6 p.m. at St. Petersburg.
