Eagles win 3-2 at Palm Beach State

Zach Scott's RBI single in the eighth inning broke a 2-2 tie, giving Polk State a 3-2 win over Palm Beach State College today in Lake Worth, Fla. 

Justin Tworek pitched a scoreless eighth inning, and Zach Schneider hurled a scoreless ninth to earn the save. 

Chavez Fernander got the win with two scoreless innings in relief. 

Jordan Spicer started and worked five innings, allowing two runs and no walks while recording five strikeouts. 

Zach Diewert had three hits and a stolen base. 

Jonah Garrison collected two hits and an RBI. 

Cole Warken had two hits and two runs. 

The Eagles (9-2, No. 3 FCSAA, No. 11 NJCAA) play the University of Tampa JV tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Bing Tyus Yard in Winter Haven.
