More than 30 scouts from college and Major League Baseball teams attended Polk State baseball's annual Scout Day on Oct. 14 on the Winter Haven campus.

The event gave Eagles players a chance to show their running, fielding, throwing, pitching, and hitting skills.  After those demonstrations, the players played an intra-squad game.

Head Coach Al Corbeil said, "It was another great turnout this year, with nearly every MLB team in attendance and some colleges from throughout the southeast here to evaluate our players. I know our guys enjoyed the opportunity to showcase in front of all the scouts and colleges that participated in our event. "
