Polk State's seven-game winning streak ended tonight as the Eagles dropped a 3-1 decision to Hillsborough Community College in Winter Haven.
The Hawks broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning when they scored a run on a walk, a wild pitch, a sacrifice fly, and another wild pitch.
The Eagles answered in the bottom of the fourth when Kyle Jackson drilled a pitch over the left-field fence for a solo home run.

The Eagles (34-14, 16-7, No. 4 FCSAA) play Hillsborough Community College again tomorrow at 1 p.m. at New York Yankees Community Field in Tampa.
The Eagles can clinch the Suncoast Conference championship with a win or a loss by State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota.
