Polk State baseball got back in the win column today, beating Eastern Florida State College 7-4 in Cocoa.
Kaylor Kulina had a big day at the plate and on the base paths. In four at-bats he walked, singled, doubled, stole two bases, scored two runs, and drove in two runs.
Luke Parker also had a single and a double along with a walk and an RBI.
Kyle Jackson walked, singled, scored a run and drove in a run.
JD Osborne walked and had two RBI.
Matt Piatt went one-for-four with a walk.
Zack Bullard walked and scored a run.
Brandon Gali also scored a run.
Luis Ferrer earned his first win of the season. He pitched three-and two-thirds of an inning in relief of starter Jacob Kelley and allowed three hits and two runs while walking one and striking out three.
Zak Spivy worked a third of an inning and gave up no hits or runs.
Cody Gamble pitched the ninth, earning his fourth save.
The Eagles (9-5 and ranked No. 7 in the FCSAA Coaches' Poll) go back on the road Friday to play Palm Beach State College at 4 p.m.
