Polk State's six-game winning streak ended today in a 4-0 loss to St. Johns River State College.

Umpires called the game after heavy rain stopped play after five innings.

The Eagles had two hits, a single by Brandon Gali and a double by Kaylor Kulina, who also drew a walk.

The Vikings jumped on starting pitcher Jordan Guerrero for two runs in the first and another in the third. They added one more in the fifth on a home run off reliever Joe Strzelecki

Guerrero worked four innings and allowed two hits and three runs (two unearned) while walking one and striking out four. He took the loss, his first of the season.

The Eagles (8-5 and ranked No. 7 in the FCSAA Coaches' Poll) travel to Cocoa tomorrow to face Eastern Florida State College at 5 p.m..
