Eagles drop first game of season

Polk State opened its baseball season on the road today, losing 2-0 to Lake-Sumter State College. 

The Eagles had four hits and four errors. 

Brad Labozetta (0-1) took the loss, giving up two runs and striking out three in five innings. 

Zak Spivy and Jordan Guerrero held the Lakehawks scoreless the rest of the game. 

Kyle Jackson went two-for-four with a stolen base. 

Luke Parker and Matt Piatt each had a hit. 

The Eagles (0-1) play their home opener tomorrow at 2 p.m. against Pasco-Hernando State College.
