Winning streak ends for Eagles

Polk State's 16-game winning streak ended tonight with a 10-4 loss to State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota in Winter Haven. The Manatees had 14 hits, including three home runs. 

Matt Pearce (3-3) started for the Eagles. Hunter Kyzar and Devin Vainer saw action in relief. 

Sam Machonis (3-for-4) doubled twice, scored twice, drove in a run, and stole two bases. Cody DeNoyelles went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Luke Parker (2-for-4) had two RBI and a stolen base.  

The Eagles (35-12, 21-6 in the Suncoast Conference) end their regular season at South Florida State College Friday at 6 p.m.
