Polk State College's Matt Pearce is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Pearce, a sophomore from Bonita Springs, Fla., was 1-0 with 0.00 ERA in one appearance during the March 10-16 voting period.
Pearce made the most of his one outing by tossing eight shutout innings to earn the victory in Polk State's 7-0 win over South Florida State on March 14. He allowed five hits, walked none and struck out ten.
