Pitchers Shut down Hillsborough in 5-2 Win

WINTER HAVEN - Pitcher Chase Sparkman and Reid Noah flexed their muscles on Wednesday night. Sparkman shut down Hillsborough Community College with a four-hit, eight-inning gem in a 5-2 victory in Winter Haven.

Reid Noah earned his fourth save of the season for the Eagles.

Brett Jones had an RBI single in the fourth to give the Eagles a lead it didn't surrender. Michael Danner had a double and scored a run.

Polk (27-8; 4-4) plays Hillsborough again at 6 p.m. Friday at the University of Tampa.
