Eagles Capture 4-1 Victory over St. Johns River

WINTER HAVEN - Polk State College defeated St. Johns River State College 4-1 Wednesday in Winter Haven.

The Eagles' Brian Johnson pitched seven innings and gave up no earned runs while chalking up two walks and one strikeout on five hits. Steve Burnham pitched a scoreless eighth inning and Reid Noah pitched a scoreless ninth inning to pick up his second save of the season.

Offensively for the Eagles, Matt Singletary went 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Erik Hindmon was 1-for-3 with two RBIs while Aldo Ferrante went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.

The Eagles are scheduled to take on St. Thomas tomorrow night in Winter Haven, with the first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
